Encouragement to take pictures and later discussing them in a review session. Basically we put together a list of subjects for up to the year ahead and decide when they should be reviewed.

The aim is to take pictures for the review session which are related to the subject and select the best or most appropriate 3 for review. This provides a chance for you to show your creativity.

For the first time a subject is to be reviewed photographers can raid their archives. Longer term, the subjects should be known far enough in advance to be able to take new photos.

We hope you will talk for about a minute on each photo on what you like about it and why you chose it for review. Members of the group may comment or ask questions about your photos. In the review sessions the emphasis should be on constructive comments or suggestions which might have improved the photo. We then vote on which of your photos we like best.

For ease of display, photos could be taken with any digital camera including smart phones or tablets/iPads. Photos can be submitted by email if you are unable to attend the review session - this should not preclude anyone from contributing to the group. Similarly if our U3A members just like seeing what the photographers make of the subject then they would be welcome to come along to the review sessions and can join in with comments.

We have a break for refreshments of tea or coffee. The group does not meet in August or December each year.
